AI in the Jungle: Innovating with AWS -
Introducing A-box

AWS (Amazon Web Services) has long been a leader in cloud computing, offering a suite of services that cater to a wide array of industries and business needs. Recognizing the transformative potential of AWS, R-evolution and AWS joined forces to leverage AWS’s infrastructure and expertise to co-create solutions that not only meet current demands but also anticipate future needs for Green Cubes.
At the centre of our collaborative efforts, along with data storage on AWS S3 for the Lidar and Aerial data, is the A-BOX, is a modular edge compute system, jointly developed to enable data cloud capture in the most remote places on our planet, with AI and connectivity at the Edge.
As the primary use case, A-BOX is used in the Green Cubes tech stack to allow for edge computing for fauna identification. With A-BOX, Green Cubes can capture data to analyse Mean Species Abundance, Potentially Disappeared Fraction, Species Threat Abatement and Restoration metrics, and the extent of land/ecosystem-use change in places with limited or even lack of connectivity using AWS IoT Greengrass service.
Our partnership with AWS is more than just a collaboration; it is a testament to the power of innovation and the endless possibilities that emerge when technology and expertise converge. The A-BOX is a shining example of what can be achieved when visionary minds come together to solve real-world challenges.
